The Holiday Bar Cart

‘Tis the season to eat, drink, and be merry! If holiday entertaining is on your to-do list, you probably will be serving drinks to your guests. Why not do it in style? Whether you have a dedicated bar cart or just a corner of the kitchen counter you can make a drink station that’s fashionable.

Holiday Bar Cart Decor Ideas

Decorating a beverage cart for the holidays is usually a quick and easy project. Since it’s such a small area it won’t take too much time or a lot of items to fill it up. Here’s one of my favorite ones with a retro theme.

I scoured my stash and used mostly items from the 1960’s for a hip, colorful theme. It was so much fun.

One of our favorite pieces of furniture is our old wooden tea cart that we use as a holiday bar cart. I’m not exactly sure how old it is, but it belonged to my mother-in-law and she was so proud of it.

During the holidays it’s fun to dress it up and make it festive looking. By simply adding some red glasses, a few small holiday ornaments, and a strand of garland along with the basic bar tools, it’s transformed into a stylish bar cart. (To see more of our holiday home tour, go HERE)

A glass pitcher gets filled with corks and ornaments add some sparkle the bottom shelf.

The pops of red against the silver look like Christmas ornaments. A simple strand of Christmas tree garland really makes a statement. You could also substitute a couple long strands of pearls for more subtle color. Or some small branches of greenery would give a more woodsy look.

Throw a few candy canes in the glasses and you’re ready to get the party started! Simple enough!

Are you hosting any get togethers at your house? Do you have a bar cart or a beverage area? I’d love to hear about it! We’re having a few friends over this weekend and will be celebrating the season and enjoying beverages from the bar cart.

Cheers to you!
