Peonies, Lilacs, and Porch Decor

/ / /

Spring has sprung in all its glory here. And that means there are lots of pretty flowers and branches to clip and bring indoors for decor. A couple of days ago our peonies began to bloom. I snipped a few of them and included them in our porch decor, along with some of my favorite vintage finds. I shared a sneak peek of these on instagram a couple of days ago so if you follow me there you have already seen a version of this photo.

The old wicker table and chair stays out here all year, but I brought out the wooden tray with a mini boxwood wreath, linens, flowers, wooden crate, and flowers to pretty the space up a bit.

Peonies are some of the most beautiful flowers on the earth. They look like a still life painting, don’t you think?

I clipped a few lilac blooms as well. You wouldn’t believe how good it smells out here between the peonies and lilacs.

The old wooden ammunition crate is the perfect pedestal for these. I found it at a tag sale and it’s covered with newspapers from 1913. How cool is that?

You really can’t take a bad photo of these gorgeous blooms, so I took lots.

I got a little artsy with this one and removed all the color except the pink. I think I might frame it.

Here’s a little peek at some Lily of the Valley I clipped and also used in some decor. I mixed them with blue accents and they look so pretty! Stay tuned for that decor coming up soon!

Do you have lots of flowers blooming at your home? If not, there are always lots of pretty ones at the farmers’ market and grocery store this time of year. Nothing says spring like flowers!

Thanks for dropping by today!

XOXOX,

Angie

    1. It's fun to discover what's in your yard! Most of the plants in our yard were planted by the previous owner who was an avid gardener. There's a lot of weeding to do but also lots of flowers to enjoy!

  3. Love your flowers. I would definitely frame the one with only pink!

    1. Thanks Kathy! I think I will frame it. Now to figure out where to hang it!

  4. Peonies are my favorite flowers. My MIL used to grow the biggest I've ever seen. I have 2 purple double lilacs blooming along the veranda. The whole house smells divine… Chantal
