Today I’m sharing a simple, rustic Thanksgiving table setting using some
vintage dishes and silverware. I put it together using things that I already
had so it was budget-friendly. I have a large stash of vintage dishes and
enjoy creating interesting tablescapes with them.

It’s part of this month’s Thrifty Style Team challenge hosted by Julie at
Redhead and Decorate
and you can see all of this month’s contributions at the bottom of the post.
We’re focusing on Thanksgiving tables and recipes so be sure to keep
scrolling to see everything.

place setting with vintage silver, blue linen napkin, and brown drip glazed pottery dinner plate

My mom and sister are also collectors of vintage items and my mom recently
gave me some of these
brown drip pottery dinner plates. I thought warm tones looked pretty for a casual Thanksgiving table.

I found the vintage chevron oneida silver at the thrift store a few years ago and
cleaned them up. My husband and I have been binge watching Yellowstone and
the whole place setting makes me think of Montana and western decor for
some reason. I’ve had the
blue linen napkins
for a while and we use them regularly. The look like linen but are not
quite as heavy.

The texture of the
recycled glass stemless glasses
and the woven natural placemats
add more of the rustic look I was going for.

table set with plaid blanket scarf, brown dishes, and blue napkins

I used a
copper colored pitcher
with the same arrangement that I put together for my soft muted fall tablescape. I anchored it with a wooden cutting board  and used a
plaid blanket scarf
as a table scarf. You can see my favorite ways to decorate with blanket scarves here:

Over below the window on the sideboard I’ve got a turkey platter and a couple of
tall wooden candlesticks for interest.

And I added some vintage amber bottles and vintage wooden butter molds to a wooden cake stand for a bit of texture and color. I love the way the light is coming
through the taller bottle.

A few pine cones and orange slices were tucked into the gaps for more of a
fall look. I’m thinking this little spot is going to get a fun makeover for
Christmas. Can’t you see it?

That does it for my simple, rustic Thanksgiving table decor. I’m not hosting
this year so I’ll be changing this out soon. Stay tuned for my Christmas
tablescape coming up in a couple of weeks.

Christmas decor for the first time so I’m using a mix of handmade, vintage,
and new decorations. I haven’t started my Christmas decorating quite yet so
I’m not sure how it’s all going to turn out, but I’m excited to see it all
come together.

  1. I love it friend, it looks so warm and inviting! That silverware is amazing, and I've binge watched all of Yellowstone so far, it's such a great drama!

  2. Angie you always have the most beautiful tablescape. I love the plaid and colors you chose. I’m also excited to see what you do for Christmas! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  3. I remember those brown dripped plates from my childhood; we called them honey dripped. We never owned any but I do recall seeing them in Gatlinburg shops…it seemed almost every shop stocked them!!! So they remind me of the mountains and black bears!!! I like the shade of blue you used with them. Very pretty. I have a stash of vintage dishes and flatware, too…of course, I'm vintage (70).

  4. Love those brown drip plates! I've got a pitcher, and love to arrange flowers in it for Fall. You do such a beautiful job with your table settings. Love every detail. Happy Thanksgiving!

  5. Angie, everything is so pretty! I love all your butter molds…I have never seen them at antique stores up here!!

  6. Hi Angie, Your table is like right out of a magazine!! So beautifully created!! I grew up with the brown drip pottery in our house! I had no idea it was called that. We had a cookie jar, and my mom would keep the rest of the set up on top of the cabinets. I would climb up there when no one was looking and find candy that she hid in the jars! What a great memory you helped me find. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
